Life Story

Leveigh Manning was born on Oddletown, Quebec, and later moved to the village of Belmont, Ontario where he ran his own blacksmith shop. Leveigh was a strict Methodist, and raised his family accordingly. His first wife was Louise Emmerson. She died in 1875, after giving birth to ten children. He then married her sister, and had two more sons.
