Edith Manning was born Edith Richardson in 1875. She was born in the United States, the daughter of English/Scottish immigrants. Edith married Loop Manning in 1897 in Sault Ste-Marie, and had three children. They then moved and homesteaded north of Calgary and east of Airdrie, Alberta. Later they moved to Three Hills, Alberta, where Edith died in 1931.
